PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA CONSORTIUM OFFICIAL PARTNER FOR THE 2023/24 SEASON


Parma, 22 September 2023 - The Prosciutto di Parma Consortium will be an Official Partner of Parma Calcio for the 2023/24 season. An excellent local company that joins the Crociati Club to consolidate and strengthen the bond between two symbols that represent Parma in the world.  


On Sunday, 24 September, at 15:00 CEST, a special area at the Stadio Ennio Tardini dedicated to Prosciutto di Parma will be unveiled at Parma-Sampdoria: details will be unveiled in the presence of Luca Martines (Managing Corporate Director of Parma Calcio) and Federico Galloni (Vice President of the Prosciutto di Parma Consortium).

“PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA” CONSORTIUM

The Prosciutto di Parma Consortium, founded in 1963, aims to protect and enhance Parma Ham worldwide and offer consumers guarantees and assurances on product quality. Since then, it has been engaged in numerous activities, including the management and safeguarding of production rules, the management of the sector's economic policy, the supervision and protection of legal provisions and regulations, the protection of the name 'Prosciutto di Parma' and the relative trademark (Corona Ducale), currently registered in about 90 countries, as well as the promotion of the product in Italy and worldwide. Today, the Consortium can count on an organisation of 140 companies, all located in the typical production area, which continues to use and safeguard the traditional processing method by following the same strict production specifications deposited with the European Union. The Consortium represents all 134 producers of Parma Ham and is responsible for the promotion and protection of the famous PDO ham cured in the Parma hills.
