Lecce, 1 November 2023 - Parma have reached the Round of 16, beating Lecce 4 goals to 2. It all happened in the final minutes after Lecce managed to cancel out Parma’s two-goal advantage. Parma took the lead through Sohm’s beautiful effort (9’, assist from Hainaut) before Bonny doubled the lead with a volley following Piccoli’s clearance from the corner in the 29th minute. The hosts got back into it with goals from Piccoli and Strefezza in the second half but Dennis Man came to life in injury time. First, he forced Pongracic’s own goal in the 95th minute with a shot-cross from the right and then two minutes later, he converted from the spot after Bernabé was fouled by Ramadani. A great performance, incredibly impressive and Parma now look to the next round, Fiorentina in the Round of 16.
