Brescia, 26 December 2023 - Captain, Enrico Delprato’s comments following Parma’s victory over Brescia on Matchday 19 of the Serie BKT championship. 

“We knew it would be a difficult game with Brescia coming from a good run of results. We did well to interpret the game in the right way because we’re a team with a lot of quality but we combined strength and nastiness; you can’t win these matches without these. We are even happier because this came before a break, given our bogey with matches before breaks so far. And this shows that we are there and we are always connected. Now we’re going to relax before going again in January. 

The defensive solidity? We’re all united, we’re together in the defensive and offensive phase. The attackers score but it’s the team’s work and even when you don’t score you have to work together with the forwards. In the second half, when we understood that we wouldn’t be able to score the third goal, we dropped back in the final minutes and didn’t take great risks because our forwards gave us a great hand. A gift for 2024? It's our dressing room philosophy, we don't set ourselves any limits and we take one game at a time with nastiness, as if they were all finals. We have to recharge our batteries now, before starting off strong against Ascoli.”
