Parma, 25 July 2024 - Parma Calcio can confirm that Dennis Man has renewed his contract with the Club until 30.06.2027.
Dennis has worn the Gialloblu colours since January 2021. Last season, he broke one record after another, helping Parma win Serie B for the first time in the Club’s history. Born in Arad, the winger with a magic left foot was the youngest among those who scored at least ten goals and provided at least five assists. He ended up finishing the season with eleven goals and six assists to his name. Ten of those eleven goals were scored with his left foot, which poses a constant threat to opposition defences. In fact, he was the player who bagged the most goals with this foot across the division. Dennis also achieved brilliant numbers in terms of dribbling, another one of his technical qualities that make him a standout talent. Indeed, he completed 76 dribbles; no one did better in 2023/24. He’s constantly displayed his talent at the attacking end of the pitch, so much so that the last three seasons have seen him create 127 goalscoring opportunities; no Parma player has done better in the same period.
Dennis’ story in the Parma shirt has been a fantastic one and has only got better along the way. He’s constantly produced performances befitting his talent, and he wants to carry on down the same path in Serie A with the aim of making the Parma fans and his Romania teammates proud. Because Dennis’ story began in Arad, where he started his football career, a career that has led to him taking to the pitch for the senior Romania side and achieving something a great Romanian number 10 once did. Previously, only Gheorghe Hagi had provided two assists in a single match at a major international tournament, against Colombia in the 1994 World Cup. But Dennis matched that, setting up a teammate to score on two occasions against Ukraine during the recent European Championship. He’s strongly attached to his country, and he’s strongly attached to Parma Calcio and the city of Parma. So far, he’s made 108 competitive appearances for the Gialloblu, and now he’s looking forward to writing more chapters in Serie A.
Dennis Man’s comments: “I’m grateful to everyone who works at the Club and in particular President Krause for the confidence he’s shown in me so far. I’m delighted to be continuing this journey with Parma. I feel good here and feel like I still have a lot to give.”
Sporting Director Mauro Pederzoli added the following: “Reaching this agreement is of particular significance. Both Parma and Dennis really wanted this renewal to happen. Dennis is a champion and knows that the Club and his teammates hold him in very high regard. He also knows how much he can give as looks to continue to grow and improve in the same way he’s done previously. We expect a lot from him, and the same applies to his teammates, but we know that his flair and talent could potentially be decisive in the Italian top flight. We’re happy that he’s with us, and we’re delighted that he’ll soon be playing in the division he deserves to be in.”
