DENNIS MAN CROWNED SERIE BKT MVP FOR OCTOBER

Milano, 23 November 2023 - Quality at the service of the team. Parma forward, Dennis Man has been crowned the Serie BKT MVP for the month of October, the award presented to the best player of the league in the respective month. The winner for September was Cremonese’s Massimo Coda.

Voting was the now customary jury composed of journalists from the league's official broadcasters (Sky and Dazn) together with Marco Messina, founder of the Italian Football TV community. The Emilian derby between Parma and Modena on Matchday 14 of the league is the perfect event for Man to receive this award in front of his fans in the pre-match celebration. “I am very happy to win this trophy,” said Man to BKT. “Thank you to all those who thought of me and I want to thank my teammates and the staff for having faith in me.”

Analysing the Opta data on the 25-year-old’s performances in his 4 appearances for a total of 265 minutes played and 4 goals: no player in the league scored more in this period. Man’s four goals came from only six total shots, of which four were on target. Without the Gialloblù forward’s goals, Parma would have earned six fewer points in the month of October, as Man earned the most points individually for his team in the league in this period, at least double anyone else. Furthermore, Man completed 65 positive passes, averaging 16.25 per match, far exceeding the average in his position of 10.22. These are figures which prove the massive offensive contribution of a player who can also apply himself in the defensive phase. In the month of October in fact, Man won the ball back 18 times, with an average of 4.5, more than double the average in his position (2.19).
