Lecce, 1 November 2023 - Crociato goalkeeper, Edoardo Corvi’s comments following Lecce vs Parma in the Round of 32 of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa. 

“I am very pleased with our performance, I helped and did my bit. But that’s normal because that’s what the coach asks of us. We dropped in the second half but they increased their tempo. We had to defend, we expected that and tried to hit them on the counter. In the end, we were lucky to get the winning goal. My head was still in the game but I thought we would go to extra time. It was a surprise and at that moment, I felt even more love for my teammates because it was a great weight off our shoulders. Every game we try to instill our ideas on the pitch and try to play our game. We are always learning, we’re young and today we did well to face a Serie A team. The fans? In the first half, I felt protected by their chants, they were special and we greeted them at the end of the game. They also gave me a scarf, a beautiful moment. The save at 2-2 from Piccoli’s shot? I felt that was a decisive moment, we were suffering at that point. It was a great save, however, the most difficult one was from the shot from outside the area before. On this pitch, the ball bounces up quick.”
