Parma, 2 October 2023 - Crociati defender Gianluca Di Chiara spoke to Bar Sport TV programma on channel 12 TV Parma.
PARMA'S STRENGTH
“Our strength is what you saw following Dennis Man's goal: all the group, including everyone on the bench, ran towards our fans. That is such a big thing to take with us, to develop, because I think it is so important and vital to have 20 players with such quality and togetherness in this type of league, who can all play their part when called upon. The difference? We came up against an excellent side with great, individual quality. We played really well because we had to dig in and battle through at the end; when we needed to show our quality, we did. We were clinical and put oaway our chances when they arrived, and this is a good thing.'
MY PHYSICAL CONDITION
“Good, I had a bit of cramp at the end. But I was able to get through the 90 minutes in good shape. I lost a few months after what happened in the summer, so I still need a few more trainig sessions. I'm not so sure when I'll get back to 100%, I'm still missing something, but I'll compensate that with working day-in, day-out to get back into my best shape. Starting off well in Serie B is vital and getting so many positive consecutive results is complicated and difficult. Most games are very even. So far, we've done really well, but it's still way too early; we're only a fifth way through the season. Every side will have their ups and downs; in the most difficult time, you need to somehow scrap and pick up points. It is an unforgiveable league; it's up to us to play well.'
THE GAME AGAINST CREMONA
“We managed to break the deadlock with a great goal from Hernani, then conceded, and with them at home and their fans behind them they could have go on. But we were excellent in hitting back soon after; it wasn't easy to do in that moment of the game.'
FOCUS ON VENEZIA
“Venezia are a side built to win. It'll be an extremely tough game on their home ground; it's the next stop, where we'll have to give our best.'
