CAPTAIN ENRICO DELPRATO WIN THE GIALLOBLU D’ORO 2024

Parma, 19 December 2024 – Enrico Delprato has been named Gialloblu D’Oro 2024. The event held by the Centro Coordinamento Parma Clubs – the heart of Parma’s organised support, headed by chairman Angelo Manfredini – celebrated our Club captain amidst a celebratory gialloblu atmosphere. Delprato, who joined Parma in 2021, feels the legacy of being Gigi Buffon’s successor whenever he puts on the armband. It’s a big legacy, which the defender honours on and off the pitch, with his leadership and love for the Club. It’s no secret that Enrico has built his career on the basis of commitment and determination and, since arriving at the Club, he has won the hearts of the fans thanks to his dedication and versatility. Delprato has made 13 appearances and scored three goals in his first Serie A season so far. He is a defender with bags of energy and power, who always wants to get forward and join in the attack; his goals against Udinese, Juventus and Lazio are proof thereof.

“I want to thank everyone who voted for me to win this award. I’ve been at Parma for four years and right from the outset, I felt like I was part of something. Parma is an ambitious city, which is demanding but also allows you to work in peace. Thank you to the coaching staff, my teammates and the Club, who have helped me to improve. Thanks to the fans, who always support me. Playing for Parma in Serie A makes me and my family proud,” Delprato said while collecting his award, accompanied by the applause from the 300 attendees.

As well as Delprato, head coach Fabio Pecchia received an award for reaching 100 games in charge of the Club. Parma native and Olympic swimmer Giulia Ghiretti was also recognized.
