Collecchio, 1 December 2023 - Head Coach Fabio Pecchia spoke during the press conference at the Mutti Training Center in Collecchio ahead of the away game against Spezia.
SPEZIA GAME AND 24-MAN SQUAD: EVERYONE'S READY
“A similar game to Modena, they have young, talented players. I have to be more concerned with who we are, I want to see 24 players, because there will be 24 in the full squad, that are ready to fight and face the match with great desire, both physical and mental. Sohm out? We have 24 players, all of them ready, whoever will play tomorrow has to be ready for a good game in an atmosphere where we will need to see if we can hold our own. D'Angelo? I have 24 players who want to go out there and do it, we have to play football, but we also have to fight. We are all capable of it, we already did so and we need to be able to do so again. Everyone is ready and I will make my choices on how this week has gone, how many players have progressed, and what they have done to get there. Regardless of who has played up until now, the game is tomorrow and the choices will be made with this in mind. Though, everyone is doing well, whoever heads out onto the pitch tomorrow must be ready to play 90 minutes, or 60, but always putting in a high-level performance. Off the bench? I don't like to talk about the bench, but about the group. There are those who start and those who come on to finish the game. In managing the squad, everyone has to be ready, we need a strong group. It makes me happy though, because it demonstrates that the whole group is ready to play. We need everyone, no one left behind'.
