Parma, 27 September 2023 - Crociato coach, Fabio Pecchia’s comments following Parma vs Bari on Matchday 7 of the Serie BKT Championship. 

“There is a desire to be together, to do everything together and also to suffer. Because there was quite a long period in which Bari had us up against the ropes. We are all in the trenches, all working together. The victory belongs to the group and the team, to everyone in the team. It wasn’t easy, coming in and giving such a performance. A proof of maturity? The beginning of the second half was like this and lasted too long. Bari took control of the pitch and we became disjointed. But then there was a great reaction, a great desire to score and to go for it. Before the goal, we had two chances with Benedyczak and Bernabé but even if we had drawn tonight, I would have looked beyond the result. Attitude of the highest level and I compliment the boys for this, I am happy because the group responded brilliantly. Today we faced a tough team, they handled the game better than us after the equaliser, we were too frantic. When you want to be well and stay at the top, you have to win as many games as possible. We conceded fewer against Samp, but we only brought home one point. Today, the first 25 minutes were fantastic.
