Collecchio, 4 October 2024 - Integrity Tour 2024/25, the tenth edition of the joint initiative with the Lega Serie A, Sportradar and Istituto per il Credito Sportivo e Culturale, returns to reinforce the culture of legality in the world of football and to defend the true values of the sport. On Thursday 3 October, it came to Parma.

At the 'Mutti Training Centre' in Collecchio the meeting was undertaken with the First Team, and will be held with the Primavera, Under 18 and Under 17 teams of Parma Calcio. The main goal of this initiatives, which has involved players, managers and directors from our club, is to educate and inform all players, from the youngest to the eldest, about the phenomenon that is match fixing, so that we can fight the infringements in sport and guarantee that sport goes on uninterrupted.

During the workshop, the lawyer Marcello Presilla, Integrity Representative for Italy from Sportradar AG, explained how match fixing takes many different forms - showing the risks and consequences - and outlining the profile of so-called 'fixers' and the approaches involving players, more and more frequent through social media and other new technological means, putting careers and reputations of the players into danger, as well as the credibility of the football system. Presilla drew attention to the problems linked to betting violations and how players should use social media correctly.

'We are convinced that promotion of these types of activities, within the Club, is one of the best ways to make all players aware of, and understand the values of the sport they take part in. And, to outline the risks associated with banned activities, and the effects this can have on their careers' stated the Sporting Director of Parma Calcio Mauro Pederzoli.

The Integrity Tour will continue in the next weeks with meetings in every city that is home to a team from Serie A Aniline 2024/25, with the objective of making top flight players aware of the importance of legality within the sport.
