MAN, BONNY, BENEDYCZAK: A CHALLENGE BETWEEN GOALS, ASSISTS, AND DRIBBLES

Collecchio, 20 March 2024 - More records to break, but still to conquer with 8 matches left in the championship. We will restart from the match against Catanzaro on 1 April, but Dennis Man, after the double friendly commitment with Romania, will have 720 minutes to finish the tournament chasing those ahead of him in the top scorers' list (Pohjanpalo, Coda, Casiraghi, Brunori, and Tutino). A great challenge that our forward has already embraced with his 11 goals and 5 assists, placing him third in the special goals+assists ranking, behind the Finn from Venezia (21) and Casiraghi from Sudtirol (20).

The goal challenge continues from a distance with Venezia. Man, together with Adrian Benedyczak, is in pursuit of the duo Pohjanpalo-Gytkjaer: only Parma and Venezia can boast two attackers each in double digits, no other B team can afford the same. The Gialloblù have collected 21 goals (11 for Man, 10 for Benedyczak), while the arancioneroverdi are ahead with 28 (18 for the Finn, 10 for the Dane).

In the race for goals, there is also the challenge of assists. The best among the Gialloblù, today, after 30 matches, is Ange-Yoan Bonny with 6, thanks to the last two achieved against Feralpisalò. And, together with Man (5), they are chasing the Cremonese pair Vazquez-Sernicola (12 in total, 7+5). Parma, along with Cremonese and Como, is the only team to have at least two players with over 5 assists each. A testament to the great offensive work that the whole team performs, not just the forward line. Just as Pecchia orders his team, with a collective effort rather than individual brilliance. Each with their own characteristics, each with their active participation in the goal action.

The Romanian and the Frenchman are also chasing Vazquez and Falletti in the 'chances created' performance ranking: the two Cremonese players are at 50 and 46 respectively, while the Gialloblù are pursuing them with 39 and 38. But these 30 matchdays have shown that Dennis Man has another characteristic that makes him unique; he is at the top of the 'successful dribbles' ranking. There is no one as strong as him, with 65 successful dribbles, he is the best in Serie B. He is followed by Sibilli (Bari, 53) and Felici (Feralpisalò, 51). The Romanian still has a lot of desire to impress; he has 720 minutes alongside Bonny and Benedyczak to further improve these extraordinary statistics.
