MATCH PACK, MATCHDAY 8: CREMONESE VS. PARMA

Parma, 29 September 2023 - Parma will face Cremonese on Sunday 1 October at the Giovanni Zini stadium in Cremona at 18:30 CEST (live on Sky Sports and DAZN) on matchday 8 of Serie BKT. Here's all you need to know ahead of the match.

  • Cremonese has won their last three Serie B games against Parma and has never achieved four wins in a row against them in the competition.
  • Of the teams that Cremonese have always beaten at home in Serie B, they have faced Parma the most: 7 wins and 3 draws in 10 games for the Grigiorossi.
  • Parma remains unbeaten in their last six away games in Serie B against squads demoted from Serie A (2W, 4D); it is already the best run in the competition for the Gialloblù.
  • Cremonese come off the back of two consecutive home draws in Serie B and have not had more in a row at the Zini since October and November 2021 (4 in that case), when Fabio Pecchia was in the dugout, now the coach of Parma.
  • Cremonese has not won any of their four home games this season (3D, 1L). They have never before been winless in their first five home games of Serie B.
  • Parma has picked up 17 points in the competition so far; a Crociati record in Serie B after the first seven games played (beating the 16 points won at this point in the 93/94 and 94/95 seasons in Serie A). The last squad to win promotion with at least the same points tally after seven games in Serie B was Sassuolo in 2012/13 (19 points).
  • Parma have won their last three away games in Serie B and have only once before achieved four away wins in a row: between March and May 1990 under the guide of Nevio Scala.
  • Adrian Benedyczak is the youngest player to have scored at least five goals in this league campaign, as well as being the only player born in 2001 to have this number of goals under his belt so far.
