Parma, 9 January 2025 – At 12:30 CET on Sunday 12 January, Parma will face Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on matchday 20 of the 2024/25 Serie A Enilive season. Here are all the stats and facts you need to know ahead of the game:

  • After their 2-1 win over Monza and 0-0 draw against Torino, Parma could go three unbeaten in the league for the second time this Serie A season after previously doing so in October (four consecutive draws back then). Furthermore, the Gialloblu could register two clean sheets in a row in Serie A for the first time since April 2019 (when they did so against Torino and Sassuolo).

  • Parma (23) and Genoa (20, the same as Inter) are two of the five teams to have taken the most shots following a counter-attack in Serie A this season (Empoli with 25 and Fiorentina with 21 sit between them). Furthermore, Parma have scored six goals from corners in the Italian top flight in 2024/25 (level with Inter and Udinese); no side has done better.

  • Genoa have won their last two Serie A matches against Parma (2-1 in March 2021 and 1-0 in November); the Rossoblù have never recorded three consecutive victories against the Gialloblu in the Italian top flight. The Grifone last kept two successive clean sheets against Parma in Serie A in the period between February and October 2013 (0-0 and 1-0 back then).

  • After losing just one of their first twelve home fixtures against Parma in Serie A (W6, D5), Genoa have lost the last three with an aggregate score of 9-3. In the same period (from 2018/19), out of the teams the Rossoblù have faced more than once at the Ferraris in the Italian top flight, the Gialloblu are the side who have scored the highest average number of goals per match at the Grifone’s home stadium (3.0).

  • Genoa are unbeaten in eight of their last nine league matches (W3, D5), keeping five clean sheets. Since the start of November, no side has recorded more shutouts than the Grifone in Serie A (five, the same as Inter and AC Milan).

  • No defender has scored more goals than Enrico Delprato this Serie A season (three); the Parma captain has already matched his personal record for goals in a single season (he bagged three during the 2022/23 Serie BKT campaign). Delprato is the Parma player who has made the most recoveries in the defensive third this Serie A season (46).

  • Botond Balogh – in addition to being one of three players to have played in each of Parma’s 19 league fixtures this season (along with Ange-Yoan Bonny and Simon Sohm – is the Gialloblu man leading the way in terms of successful passes (681), interceptions (19) and clearances (103). • Zion Suzuki is the goalkeeper with the best difference between Expected Goals against and goals conceded this Serie A campaign (4.76): the Gialloblu goalkeeper has shipped almost five fewer goals than expected based on the situations he faced in the league. In the reverse fixture at the Tardini, where Genoa ran out 1-0 winners thanks to Andrea Pinamonti’s finish, Zion Suzuki made six saves, his highest number in a single Serie A appearance (and the same number he made against Fiorentina in his very first top-flight match).

  • Out of all the goalkeepers who have made five appearances this league season, Nicola Leali is the shot-stopper with the highest save percentage (76.5% in twelve matches). Since such data started being recorded (from 2004/05), Mattia Perin holds the save percentage record for a Genoa goalkeeper over the course of a single season (minimum of ten appearances): 75% in 2017/18.

  • Valentin Mihaila is the player who has taken the most shots in Serie A this season without finding the net (25). Sitting behind him in this particular ranking is Genoa’s Vitinha with 21 (the same as Cagliari’s Gianluca Gaetano). The Romanian winger has, however, provided three assists; never before has he recorded more goal contributions in a single top-flight campaign (three goals and no assists for Parma in 2020/21).

  • Dennis Man has made 264 passes that finished in the attacking third of the pitch this Serie A season, at least 76 more than any other teammate. Ange-Yoan Bonny (77) is the only Gialloblu man to have had more touches in the opposition box than the Romanian (66) this league campaign.
