INTERNATIONALS: EIGHT GIALLOBLU CALLED UP

Collecchio, 8 October 2024 - Eight players from Parma will be representing their respective national teams during this October international break. Keita has been called up by Belgium U21, Haj Mohamed returns to the Tunisia senior team, and Leoni will feature in Italy U19's double friendly against Wales. In addition, Osorio and Suzuki will be involved in World Cup qualifiers, while Balogh, Man, and Mihaila will compete in the Nations League.

BOTOND BALOGH

In the Nations League, Hungary is seeking redemption after the previous round. With just one point on the board, Botond and his teammates face a crucial match in Budapest against the Netherlands on 11 October, followed by an away fixture in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 14 October.

ANAS HAJ MOHAMED

Tunisia, who head Group A with six points in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, have two matches against Comoros, who sit second with two points. Parma’s Haj Mohamed returns to the senior national team for the fixtures on 11 October (home in Tunisia) and 15 October (away).

MANDELA KEITA

After two Serie A appearances, the midfielder has been called up by Belgium U21, who are competing in the European Championship qualifiers. Mandela and his teammates will play in Scotland (11 October in Edinburgh), followed by a home match in Leuven against Hungary on 15 October.

DENNIS MAN and VALENTIN MIHAILA

Romania, leading their group with six points, have two Nations League fixtures lined up. Dennis and Valentin will first face Cyprus on 12 October, followed by Lithuania on 15 October, as they aim to continue their winning streak.

YORDAN OSORIO

Yordan Osorio’s Venezuela continues their World Cup qualifying campaign. Currently fifth in the standings, level with Brazil on 10 points, they are chasing leaders Argentina (18 points), who they face at home on 10 October. Their second match will be an away fixture against Paraguay on 16 October.

ZION SUZUKI

In the World Cup qualifiers, Japan, top of Group C with six points, 12 goals scored, and none conceded, will face second-placed Saudi Arabia, who have four points. This will be an important match for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, fresh from a stellar performance in the recent league match against Bologna. The game takes place in Jeddah on 10 October. The following fixture on 15 October, against Australia in Saitama, will not feature a “Parma showdown” with Alessandro Circati, however.
