Parma, 14 January 2024 - An own goal by Viviano, a crossbar hit by Man in the 95’, and at least 5 goal-scoring opportunities in the first half for the Gialloblù. Against Ascoli, on the first matchday of the second half of the season and the first at Tardini in 2024 (16 consecutive positive results at home, as in the period between 2017 and 2021), Parma secures one point.
The initial scare was marked by a superb goal from Botteghin, who found the intersection of the posts (60'). However, in the first half, the Gialloblù dominated. With a series of actions by Bernabé (7'), Benedyczak (24'), Man (33', high ball from an excellent position), Bernabé (35', central shot after Coulibaly's action), and again Benedyczak (39', goal disallowed for offside after a nice descent by Man).
To restore parity, an own goal by Viviano unintentionally occurred as he headed the ball on Di Tacchio's clearance to anticipate Delprato. The match ended 1-1, and the next match for Parma is in Genoa against Sampdoria on 19 January 2024.
