PARMA CALCIO’S BIRTHDAY: SPECIAL SHIRTS AS GIFTS IN SCHOOLS WITH THE '110 PATCH' FOR CHARITY

Parma, 14 December 2023 - To mark its 110th birthday on 16 December 2023, Parma Calcio continues its campaign revolving around celebrating its history. After the ‘110 times Parma Calcio’ Podcast, narrated by DAZN journalist Stefano Borghi (in the Italian version) and the book, ‘110 Crociati Hearts,’ supported and promoted by the Matteo Bagnaresi ONLUS Foundation, the Club has added another step for its fans, both young and old, with one common denominator: the Parma Calcio shirt, which will be given to primary school children whilst the special Men and Women’s First Team shirts will be given to charity.

“SHAPE YOUR PASSION: THE PARMA CALCIO SHIRT IN SCHOOLS”

On Friday 15 December, the special shirt from the ‘Shape your passion’ initiative, promoted by the main sponsor of the Parma Academy, Parmalat, will be gifted to children in more than twenty primary schools in Parma and the Province. The social initiative, now in its fifth year, will for the first time not involve the traditional delivery on the first day of school but will be donated to celebrate the Club's 110th anniversary. Accompanying the gifted kit, there will be a letter signed by President Kyle Krause.

It is an activity that has involved over 10,000 students over the past five years, with an average of 2,000 shirts donated per year. An initiative that promotes the healthy values of sport and football, that wants to bring the youngest children closer to the colours of their city's jersey, to enhance and make the area in which we live more and more unique. Not only school children: the social association 'Always With Blue', an integral part of Parma Calcio, also received this gift for autistic children.

SHIRTS WITH THE SPECIAL 110 PATCH FOR PARMA’S ANTI-VIOLENCE CENTRE

Cosenza vs. Parma (Saturday 16 December) and Parma vs. Ternana (Saturday 23 December) for the Men’s First Team, Parma vs. Tavagnacco (Sunday 17 December) for the Women’s First Team: our special celebratory 110 years patches will be adorning our players for these matches. The match-worn shirts from these games will then be collected and go to an important charity: they will all be auctioned online on the CharityStars platform, an official partner of our Club from this season. The proceedings, in the spirit of socially responsible initiatives, will be donated to Parma’s Anti-Violence Centre. All the details of the initiative will be announced through Parma Calcio’s official channels in the next few days.
