PARMA CALCIO INCLUDED IN THE EUROPEAN ECA ACADEMY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Parma, 22 November 2023 - Parma Calcio is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the ECA (European Club Association) to participate in the executive training program for the Youth Sector.


Parma Calcio, which is a member of the ECA network, has been included in a program with almost 30 of the most prestigious clubs in Europe, including Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United. This is a reward fort the excellent work done in the Club’s Youth Department over the past seasons. 


In essence, the training program for the Youth Sector, will be followed by the head of the Youth Sector Mattia Notari, the ECA Academy Management Program (AMP) is a nine-month journey idealized to raise the next generation of football leaders and is supported by the 'Johan Cruyff Institute' with a program that will represent a moment of great international comparison to know, learn and develop the youth football training of the future. Consequently, the Parma Calcio Youth Department and the whole Club will benefit from this unique experience. 


The clubs participating in the ECA Academy Management Program, in addition to Parma, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United, are Shamrock Rovers, BK Hacken, SC Dnipro-1, FC Universitatea Cluj, Crusaders FC, VfL Bochum 1848, FC Dinamo Tbilisi, PAOK FC, AS Roma, Arsenal Women, SK Slavia Prague, Dinamo Kiev, Riga FC, Aarhus, RSC Anderlecht, FC Pyunik, KKS Lech Poznań, Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting Clube Portugal, Larne FC, NK Maribor, Celtic FC and the Romanian Federation.


Sara Williams, ECA Education and Knowledge Manager, told ECA official channels: “At ECA, we are committed to providing learning platforms, where participants can benefit from the knowledge and experience of some of the world's leading experts on football scene. We are delighted to launch this brand new educational programme, which will benefit representatives of European club academies committed to a unified mission of developing youth football. This nine-month program is the result of a major investment undertaken by the ECA and, in particular, the ECA Youth Working Group.”
