Parma, 13 August 2024 – Parma Calcio can confirm that Swedish forward Pontus Skule Erik Almqvist has joined the Club on a permanent basis

A gifted and quick winger, he spent last season with US Lecce in Serie A, scoring three goals in 32 games in all competitions. Pontus was a key player for the Giallorossi and created the most chances (27) for them last season, and was second behind only Lameck Banda for dribbles completed (42 to 37). Furthermore, Pontus was one of four Lecce players to have had at least ten shots on target (15).

Almqvist said, 'I'm really happy to represent such a big Club. I'm ready.'

Sporting Director Mauro Pederzoli: 'He is a player who we followed with interest and we're happy to announce him today, before the start of the season. He's technical and talented, which he will show for the team and head coach Fabio Pecchia. A vital aspect is that he knows Italian football.'
