Parma, 12 July, 2024 – Parma Calcio have announced that the head coach of the Women's First Team, Salvatore Colantuono, has renewed his contract with the Gialloblu.

A UEFA A licensed coach and Pro Match Analyst FIGC, Colantuono joined Parma in the 2023/24 season after his experience with Cittadella Women. During his two seasons leading the Veneto team, he achieved a third-place finish in Serie B in 2022/23 and a sixth-place finish in 2021/22.

In his first season at the helm of the Gialloblu Women’s First Team, he secured a third-place finish in Serie B, narrowly missing promotion to Serie A. Last January 2024, his work and dedication were recognised nationally with the Silver Bench award at Coverciano, granted to the best coach of the season in Serie B.

In addition to his on-field commitments, Colantuono is also a speaker and instructor for courses, as well as the author of various publications, and has served as a FIGC Selector.

SALVATORE COLANTUONO'S STATEMENT:

“I am proud to coach one of the best clubs around. The renewal is the result of a relationship built on mutual trust and shared goals. The last season, 2023-24, concluded with 71 points out of 90 and was very positive. We have laid the foundations to improve on last season and achieve ambitious goals. On 15 July, we will start again with high motivation and determination. Sporting Director, Aurelio, is finalising a competitive squad, and we are ready to welcome both returning and new players with great enthusiasm'.
