Genoa, 19 January 2024 - Parma took home a well-deserved victory against Sampdoria. Man scored (from a penalty, due to a handball by Facundo Gonzalez) and Mihaila (assisted by Man) in the first half, then, Estévez (assisted by Charpentier) secured a 3-0 victory in the second half. The performance was clear-cut, fulfilling the expectations set by Fabio Pecchia before the match.
After the initial 15 minutes, the Gialloblù took control of the game and asserted their territorial dominance. First, Man scored from a penalty (Di Chiara's shot was deflected with a fist by Facundo Gonzalez), and then Man provided a winning assist to Mihaila, closing the first half with a 2-0 lead.
In the second-half, after a save by Chichizola, Parma continued to attack until Estévez scored (who had previously scored in the match against Genoa in last season's campaign and marked his first goal for the Gialloblù).
The next match is scheduled for Saturday in Modena.
