Naples, 31 August 2024 - Parma suffered a narrow defeat to Napoli after a brilliant performance, falling in the 11 minutes of stoppage time after the second half and down to 10 men.
In the first half, a header from Kowalski in the 15th minute before Bonny picked up the ball on the rebound and hit the post. Sohm went out on his own in the 19th minute, he ran into the box to pass to Bonny who was floored by Meret for a penalty, then converted by Bonny himself.
In the second half, Napoli reacted with Buongiorno hitting the crossbar in the 66th minute. The key moment came at 75' when Suzuki was sent off for a second yellow card, having fouled Neres. Captain Enrico Delprato took his place between the sticks, stopping various shots from Napoli, but Conte's side managed to turn the result around in the time added on: Lukaku levelled things up in the 92nd minute and Anguissa made it 2-1 in the 96th.
