WOMEN'S SERIE B, MATCHDAY 1: PARMA 4-0 OROBICA

Parma, 1 September 2024 – The 2024/25 Serie B season began in the best possible way for Parma Women, who defeated Orobica Bergamo 4-0 at Noce. The Gialloblu, led by Colantuono, delivered a solid and convincing performance, dominating the match from start to finish.

Parma opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a penalty won by Distefano and converted by Rognoni. Just four minutes later, in the 28th minute, the Gialloblu doubled their lead with a precise header from Zhanna Ferrario, who took full advantage of a cross from the right by Pondini and tucked the ball into the top corner.

In the second half, despite the heat, Parma continued to control the game. In the first minute of the second half, Peruzzo scored the third goal with a precise shot, sealing the three points. The home team did not relent, and in the final minute of the match, substitute Zazzera made it 4-0, capping off a dominant performance in which Orobica struggled to create any dangerous chances. The game ended with a clear victory for Parma, who started the new season on the right foot.

Next up for Parma Women is San Marino Academy in the Round of 32 of the Coppa Italia on Sunday 8 September, at 15:00 CEST
