The Crociati started with the upper hand, with shots from Vivien Beil and Gaia DiStefano as well as some heavy aerial duels. The first booking of the game went to Elena Nichele for her foul on Nicole Croin. Veronica Benedetti hit the post in the 36th minute, after a great shot. She tried again in the 37th minute, from the penalty spot, but Tatiana Georgiou was equal to it. Antoinette Jewel Williams’ header just missed the target in the 40th minute, whilst Vivien Beil couldn’t hit the target with her headed effort either. After a minute of injury time, the first half came to a close with neither team able to score.

The Crociati started the second half with a good tempo and Caterina Ferin finally broke the deadlock ten minutes into the second half with her fourth goal of the season. The move started with Elena Nichele as Federica Rizza provided the final assist: the forward did well to turn and beat goalkeeper, Elettra Martinoli (0-1). 

Parma didn’t stop there though, and continued to apply the pressure: 2 minutes later, Veronica Benedetti shot but it was a weak effort. Antoinette Jewel Williams almost scored from a corner in the 59th minute. 

Parma made their first substitution in the 81st minute as Giorgia Miotto took Alessia Marchetti’s place. She almost left her mark only 4 minutes after coming on after taking a great shot which was just about saved. There were four minutes of injury time in which Gaia DiStefano came close to scoring but shot just wide. In the end, Caterina Ferin’s goal was enough to separate the two sides as Parma won 0-1 (fifth consecutive victory) and climbed to 25 points in the table.
