TARDINI TO HOST ITALY WOMEN'S FIRST TEAM

Parma, 17 October 2023 - Parma Calcio is delighted to announce that the FIGC has selected the stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma to host the UEFA Women’s Nations League's fixture between Italy and Switzerland.

It will be Italy's final group game and is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 5 December. This will be the second time for the Azzurre in the Emilian city, where they beat Lithuania 7-0 in a World Cup qualifier last year in April 2022.

The game in Parma could well prove to be vital for the final standings, which sees the Azzurre in third place at the moment behind Spain and Sweden. As well as establishing which four teams go on to the final stages (the two finalists will qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games, together with hosts France), this phase of the competition will also decide the promotion and relegation places in the leagues ahead of qualification for UEFA Women's EURO 2025.

Italy, who won their opening group game 1-0 in San Gallo (Caruso with the goal) will face the Swiss for the 31st time: the head-to-head record is 23 wins, two draws and five defeats.
