THE FIRST EPISODE OF OFF THE PITCH IS OUT NOW!

Parma, 24 March 2025 – The first episode of Off the Pitch is out now. Parma Calcio's new series follows the duel careers of three Women's First Team players: Federica Rizza, Anna Catelli and Caterina Ambrosi.

The series was officially announced on International Women's Day on 8 March and it is four episodes long, and created to tell the full story of the life of a women's footballer, detailing their professional career endeavours and their more personal lives made up of football, hard work, study and sacrifice. These are values that Parma Calcio recognises and wants to promote.

The first episode, which is now on the club's socials, introduces the project's spirit and objective through the words of the Head of Women's Football, Domenico Aurelio and manager Salvatore Colantuono. They are figureheads of Parma Women's identity both on and off the pitch.

'Parma is a well-structured club, with a drive to bring women's football to the top level', explained Director Aurelio. 'We work, not only to produce athletes, but real people, offering academic and professional opportunities. It is important that, before being a good footballer, you have to be a good human being with the right values and principles'.

'Becoming a family before becoming a team was the basis', explained Colatuono. 'We wanted to have great people in the team, as well as great footballers'.

The project will tell the story of three players on this path: Federica Rizza, Women's Under-11s manager thanks to a UEFA qualification obtained while playing; Anna Catelli, who is doing a psychology degree and is working alongside the club's psychologist; and finally Caterina Ambrosi, club captain, who is working in the digital team and press office'.

The three next episodes, which will be released in the coming weeks, will be dedicated to Rizza, Catelli and Ambrosi one-by-one. They will look into the player's lives, dreams and daily work at Parma Calcio.
