Venezia, 7 October 2023 – A first defeat in nine matches for the Crociati. At the 'Penzo' against Venezia, it ended 3-2 to the hosts.
In the first half, Parma hit the post through Benedyczak while it was still goalless, before Bertinato made a good save to deny Bonny. In the second half, the Arancioneroverdi broke the deadlock through Busio, only one minute after the restart, before Bernabé’s shot struck a hand in the box and Benedyczak converted from the spot to register his 6th league goal of the season. Venezia soon took control of the match, firstly through Tessmann’s left-footed shot, before Ellertsson got on the end of Pojanpalo's cross to make it 3-1. Čolak scored a consolation goal in injury time to set up an exciting finish, but Parma were unable to find an equaliser despite late pressure. Now it is time for the international break, with league football set to resume on Friday 20 October against Como at the Tardini.
