Parma Women bounced back from their defeat last week to beat San Marino Academy 5-1 at the Noce in Noceto and return to the top of the table.
With the visitors defending in numbers, it was a difficult start to the game for the Gialloblu, who eventually took the lead thanks to a diving header from Rabot in the 28th minute. Ten minutes later, Ambrosi headed home a Zazzera free-kick to make it 2-0, a scoreline Parma took into the break.
The Gialloblu continued to push after the restart. In the 65th minute, Ferrario converted a Peruzzo cross at the near post, while Ambrosini then scored her second of the day with a fantastic header from Ferrario’s ball in (72’). Ferin then netted her first league goal with 75 minutes on the clock. In the closing stages, San Marino Academy grabbed a consolation goal thanks to a free-kick from former Parma player Alessia Marchetti.
With Ternana losing and Bologna drawing, Parma now sit top of the table. The Gialloblu’s next fixture will be away to Genoa.
