Parma earned a huge win, beating league leaders Ternana away from home. Kelly Gago's goal after 59 minutes proved decisive after unleashing a left-footed shot that was unstoppable for the Ternana goalkeeper.

It was a hard-fought and tight game, with the Gialloblu able to take advantage of the clearest opportunity in the second half. After the goal, however, Colantuono's team failed to convert two other chances that they had created. In the closing stages, Ternana's search for an equaliser was to no avail, despite have a player more following Gago's red card in the 90th minute.

With these three points, Parma move onto 52 points, only four behind second place, currently occupied by Ternana.
