A French midfielder of Tunisian descent, Lamouchi joined Parma in 2000 after beginning his professional career in France with Olympique Ales, Auxerre and then Monaco.

He played for the Crociati for three seasons, making 121 appearances and playing a decisive role in the team’s 2001/02 Coppa Italia triumph.

A player blessed with excellent technical and athletic qualities, he also had spells at Inter and Genoa in Italy, while he featured for his country on a number of occasions. After retiring as a footballer in 2009, he went on to start his coaching career in the game.
